Touching Lives through the Library
We recognize that not everyone can make it to the library to check out materials due to weather conditions, temporary injury or a permanent disability. That is why we have created a homebound delivery service to bring the library to you.
Each week our Outreach Services Coordinator or a volunteer
will drop off library materials to individual homes, nursing homes, assisted living and extended care facilities. Materials can include DVD movies, audiobooks (CD-ROM), large-print books and magazines.
Do you need a helping Hand?
If you would like the library to bring materials to you through the outreach program please contact Ruth Gorman
, at 740-852-9543.
Visually Impaired Assistance
We also assist those with visual disabilities by helping them apply for services through VOICEcorps
, a reading service over the Internet or through radio transmission.
VOICEcorps is a reading service that broadcasts daily to individuals
with visual, physical and/or learning disabilities.
Hear TV listings, program schedules, and any section of the Dispatch and other regional newspapers anytime. Call our business office at 274-7650 to register for the Ohio Telephone Reader.
Assistance getting Braille Books:
The library will also be happy to help patrons who would like to receive materials in braille format. For such materials please call the library at 740-852-9543.
